The Bikram method of Yoga consists of 26 postures that work the body, challenge the mind and open the heart. The yoga practice takes place in a room heated to 105-110 degrees to help the body stretch and detoxify.

The postures increase strength, balance and flexibility. They lengthen the muscles and can produce overall body healing.

Some students who have started yoga to rehabilitate have been relieved of such ailments as depression, anxiety, sleeping disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, and chronic back pain as a result of practicing yoga. Yoga can also be used to manage stress and feed the soul.

Bikram Yoga is a challenging and exhilarating series of postures. Physical postures (asanas) and breathing are the focus while the meditative benefits to yoga are a result. It is also the only series that combines a sequence of postures with a heated room. This helps prevent injury from overstretching.
