WHAT IS THE WHISTLER FILM FESTIVAL?
Set in North America's premier mountain resort, the 9th annual Whistler Film Festival presented by American Express will take place December 3 to 6, 2009.
Each year, the Whistler Film Festival presents a selection of 90+ films from Canada and around the globe, including premieres from some of North America’s top directors, and awards over $40,000 in prizes and commissions. The four-day extravaganza also features lively festival celebrations, tributes to a distinguished filmmakers, a free outdoor screening and the annual Celebrity Challenge ski race.
This premier event also features innovative industry programming through the Whistler Filmmaker Forum, a comprehensive business and creative conference for film, television and new media that takes place alongside the Festival from December 3 to 5, 2009, which provides a full range of professional development, market and networking opportunities for filmmakers.
