June is Bike Month in BC

I know we are almost half way through June but we’re new and the rain hasn’t helped much.  But now the weather is improving and it’s time to dust of the bike and go for a spin!

From BEST:

Get on a bike this June and take a ride for fun, for health, and for the environment! Explore your neighbourhood, ride to work, and enjoy your pick of over 50 Bike Month events in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Choose a route and get there by bike.

Bike Month is your chance to discover quiet, safe, beautiful routes for excursions or everyday trips. Feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. Get fit. Save money. Fall in love with your commute.

Some of the event highlights include:

June 15 – Vancouver Car-Free Festival – Experience the fun of a car-free future with hundreds of thousands of your neighbours on the first-ever Car-Free Vancouver Day. Six simultaneous Car-Free Community Festivals, each with its own unique flavour and style.
