Local BC Blog Link Explosion

Posted on 04. Jun, 2008 by BCXS in BC, Local Blogs, Misc

Today we present a smattering of local BC blog posts that have caught our eye over the past few days.  Enjoy:

miss604.com blogged about Vancouver Restaurant Health Standards – “49 Metro Vancouver restaurants have violated health standards since January.” – I try to keep that kind of information away from my brain so that I may function normally.

gusdigital.com blogged about BCHydro Sucking – “We have no choice but to use you and you treat your customers like shit!” – Solar energy is an option, but here in BC maybe we should be looking at rain for energy instead.

Just like us, tyleringram.com blogged about the 2008 Vancouver Triathlon – “I am definitely not in the position to be participating in a Triathlon though if I were in great shape I am not sure if I would enjoy that sort of physical intensity either.” – We know what you are talking about!

duanestorey.com blogged about the IPhone in Canada – “I’ve been hoping Rogers will step up to the plate when the iPhone is announced and reveal a truly revolutionary (at least in Canadian wireless terms) data plan for its users.” – Data plans are a mess right now on all the networks in Canada. Viva la revolucion!

buzzbishop.com blogged on Movies now Available on ITunes in Canada – “It just might be about time to cut up the cable subscription.” – Time to check out ITunes again!

hummingbird604.com blogged about Vancouver Transit – “What things are in your wish-list for the Metro Vancouver transit system and for Translink?” – Our wish-list at BCXS could go on for a few pages. Cheaper fares would be a nice start and a good way to get more people riding transit.

And last but not least, darrenbarefoot.com blogged about Vancouver Safe-Injection Site Gets a Thumbs Up From BC Supreme Court – “Insite just works. It’s a cost-effective, harm-reductive health facility.” – An excellent article on a big news subject.
