Ridiculously Early Xmas Party
Mint Records Ridiculously Early Xmas Party! You know how this works. Right after Halloween, the pumpkins get tossed, the plastic Santa lawn ornaments come out and Mint puts together a magic night of sugarplums and candycanes.
This year, we’ve got two nights planned. One Nard-tastic all-ages extravaganza, curated by the man in plaid himself. And, one with frothy adult beverages, prizes and seven Minty artists. Wowzers. Now, here are the details:
Night One: Nardwuar Night
Who: Thee Goblins, Kellarissa, Lois, The Pack AD and The Evaporators. 
What: Nardwuar’s All-Ages Extravaganza
Where: The Ukrainian Hall (805 E Pender)
When: December 5th, 2008. Doors at 7:05pm. First Band at 7:05pm
Why: Beacuase Nardwuar likes to do nice things for the kids.
Tickets: available at Red Cat, Scratch and Zulu Records. $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
Also, in addition to the rawk , Nardwuar of the Evaporators will be showing his “Video Vault” of interviews he has done over the years ! Check out clips of Snoop Doggy Dogg, Mikhail Gorbachev, Michael Moore, Marilyn Manson, Henry Rollins, Blur, Vanilla Ice, Iggy Pop and lots more all presented live to you on the big screen. No joke!!!
Night Two: The Ridiculously Early Xmas Party! (Night Two)
Who: Vancougar, Bella, The Awkward Stage, Young and Sexy, Hot Panda, The Ramblin’ Ambassadors and Novillero. As well as your friends, colleagues and allies.
What: The 8th (or is it 9th?) annual Mint Records Xmas Party!
Where: The Cambrian Hall (215 E 17th Ave)
When: December 6th, 2008. Doors @ 7:00pm. First band @ 7:15pm.
Why: It wouldn’t be Christmas without it!
This night is licensed (19+), and will feature malty beverages from our pals at R&B Brewing and cute Japanese Pocky/Pretz treats from Glico Canada. Yum!
All door proceeds will go to the Canadian ALS Society.
