Play On! is the largest street hockey tournament of its kind in North America, featuring strategic partnerships with the NHLPA, the Hockey News and CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada, with additional support provided by the Vancouver Canucks.

CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Presents Play On! is the Official Canadian Street Hockey Tournament. These large-scale, 4on4 events are held in downtown, on-street locations and feature recreational and competitive street hockey tournament divisions for both genders, all skill levels, and all ages.

CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Presents Play On! events also celebrate the game of hockey in its most basic form… in a wholesome, festival atmosphere that makes kids feel like NHL pros and helps adults feel like kids again.

Since this program’s inception, over sixteen thousand Canadians have “taken back the streets” from coast to coast through participation in one of the twenty-one Play On! events held to date.

In the summer of 2009, each CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Presents Play On! event will compete with the others in attempting to set the new Guinness Record for the World’s Largest Street Hockey Tournament!
